For more than 270 years, the Royal Society of Arts Fellowship has brought together people who believe ideas should lead to action.

The Fellowship brings together an international community of influential, imaginative and committed people from every field of human endeavour. Scientists converse with artists; technologists join campaigners and educators stand next to entrepreneurs. They are united not by what they do, but by how they think: ideas in action can change society for the better.

About RSA Fellowship

When the Royal Society of Arts was founded in 1754, the world was entering an age of extraordinary possibility. The challenge was how to connect people, share knowledge, and turn imagination into progress. We were created to meet that challenge.

Becoming a Fellow means stepping into one of the world’s most storied intellectual communities, a home of creativity for the common good. In this home, you’ll meet peers who challenge your thinking, extend your reach, and help bring your ideas to life. Here, there’s a genuine intent to make a difference.

Why become a Fellow?

FRSA signals something distinctive: that you are part of a movement committed to thoughtful leadership, creative thinking and positive change. It places you in the company of extraordinary figures across generations – while connecting you to the next generation of people shaping the future in every field. There are many reasons to become a Fellow, but almost everyone stays for the same one: a charity with no equal in range or ambition.

What you’ll gain:

Events, insights and research

Fellows receive access to the full Royal Society of Arts programme: talks, workshops, webinars and debates, plus cutting-edge research and commentary on the issues influencing our shared future. All events are recorded, so you never need to miss out.

The House

RSA House on John Adam Street is one of London’s most remarkable buildings. A Georgian treasure, its heart is the Great Room, where James Barry’s breathtaking six-painting cycle, The Progress of Human Knowledge and Culture, has presided over gathered Fellows for nearly two and a half centuries.

The RSA Journal

Our award-winning publication explores the ideas driving the Society’s mission. Fellows receive every issue, in print or online, and can contribute their own writing and research.

Mentoring

Our Mentoring Programme brings generations together through the exchange of knowledge, connecting those with expertise to those seeking it. Whether you come to mentor, to be mentored – or both – this is just one of the quietly transformative benefits the Fellowship offers.

FRSA

Fellowship of the Royal Society of Arts: four letters that carry more than 270 years of curiosity, ingenuity and conviction. Wear them as a mark of where you stand, and what you stand for. This is more than prestige; it’s belonging.
